Hi to all, from CT Hello everyone, my name is Will and my partner in crime who will also be using this is Sean. Sean and I are long time friends and have decided that we are ready to take that jump away from the security of having benefits and a job and see if we can tackle running a landscaping business of our own. We have little knowledge of this line of work except the little time I worked in excavation and for another landscaping comp. for a total of 2 years. Thats why we joined this forum to learn from people that have succeeded in areas we want to succeed in. We are really excited and motivated to achieve our goals and hear your comments and hopefully incorporate your ideas into our business plans. We appreciate this opportunity to talk with you all and hopefully we'll hear from you soon!!

Hi Will & Sean, Great to see you have joined the Small Business Forum. I have takena leap like you recently in leaving a decent paying job to get running in my own business, it isnt easy but once it gets rolling and is running it is definately worth it, unfortunately i am not there yet but hopefully sometime in about 1 to 2 years i should. Two things to really keep in the front of your mind should be to 1. prepare for growth - if you arnt ready for when you business may grow you can run into some real problems for your business. 2. Maintain Quality - Ensure the quality of your business and the products and services you provide are top notch, just by doing this and getting people speaking about your business is one very good way to success Anyway best of luck with your plans, and i wish you success in your business.

The most important thing that you can do towards being a success, is to have a detailed business plan. Get your lawyer and your accountant involved, and when it is finished you have the bible to success (if you have done it right). Good luck.
