| Actually, this should be available to you. Particularly if you are only going one way with the data, from a remote operation to the head office. It's when you have changing inventories in several locations and want to update all locations on the closing inventories of all of the other locations. Of course, even this is available, but more costly.
By far the easiest and least expensive way is using remote software such as LapLink or PC anywhere. With these you can set them to contact your remote locations on a fixed schedule and download whatever files you want. It is even possible to "turn on" a computer that is turned off and get the data remotely.
Other than that, there are any number of what are referred to as "Vertical Market" software packages designed for specific industries. More common are Point-of-Sale for retailers and shop management for auto repair shops, but you can find specific pacakges for lawn care, security and all of the trades, as well as car repossession, beauty and nail salons and more. In your case there are hospitality packages that would cover most of what you are interested in. Many will have the option of multiple sites with daily polling capabilities.
The best place to find these programs are trade shows specific to the industry or in the backs of trade publications. While some vertical market programmers make a big splash, many have small display ads in the backs of trade magazines, sometimes in a category type listing, sometimes randomly placed. |
