Lets talk about ethics please

OK, here is the situation. I found a guy who supplies me with flashing pacifiers and glow products.I wanted to use them to sell on Ebay. I talked to him for about 2hours on the phone and he gave me some good ideas for using him as a supplier to get a small business off the ground. He is going to give me discounts off of his products from what his website states. (right now he is giving me the best price my research has gotten me) Things sounded great.,.he talked about going to local businesses and trying to work out promotional deals with them for my products. (Also let me state he is the only person I am getting these products from right now)

He put on his website christmas packages.(and also told me in a new conversation that I should use these for a local business who wanted quotes from me) Then he emails me the next day and offers me a good deal on all the left overs from the cases he took the product out of. I said I would need about 2 weeks to get that kind of money together to buy it and he says..well then I am offering it to the bowling ally down the street and give it to him if he wants it. That kind of sucks. Well then after giving a sheet of packages to the place down the street( cause the store manager wants items for a school x-mas party, an employee party and also items for there kids night at the resturant. So I find out tomorrow what packages this company wants to get from me. WELL THE GUY TELLS ME he does not want to do the packages anymore. (the 2 days after he spent an hour putting them together for me, and also has same packages on his websight.) He wants to do cases only and become an importer. He has like 12 packages left and if they sell before I order this week I cant get my order filled.

He is going to start drop shipping from his supplier for now who is an importer. He says people have gone over his head after being drop-shipped to and going derectly to the company that sent them. After all the run around I can't blame them. He says he is now suing them (even though I don't know under what grounds they can be sued) So is it wrong to cut him out of the deal after he keeps switching the rules on me to get a better price from his supplier? Or is that just bad business and I reap what I sow? I do not want to continue with a person who tells me one thing and then changes the rules after I have a customer involved. It hurts my business and makes me look incompetent. Give me some advice. StLRook

P.S. on top of it all he says he likes my ebay idea and is going to sell cases on ebay and doesn't want me to bump heads with him, and won't supply me if I sell a case of something he is on Ebay...Originally my market he descided to go back to. He used to do Ebay for shoes but never this product. Advice please. he says I can sell a few dozen items at a time but not cases. So now he is limiting how I can market my product. Let me know if you have delt with such people as this. StLrook
