I certainly agree with many posts here.

It is time consuming to participate on forums. On the other hand one can learn a lot from the forum. It is a great way to get ideas for article writing or free reports depending on what people are asking for.

It is smart to participate in forums which relate to what one wants to do business in - obviously.

I prefer to get very targeted traffic with a higher conversion rate than just high traffic and no sales.

I too agree. I really enjoy the forums and blogs as I learn a great deal as to small business issues. It is endless the wealth of knowledge from folks who have actually experienced it in real life, unless reading it on websites that you don't know if it is real or not.
