Dealing with larger companies We want to break into consulting for larger companies but we only have three consultants and are concerned we will be at capacity pretty quick. We are also concerned with putting all of our marbles in one basket - then losing the client our tieing up our talent - any suggestions?

Re: Dealing with larger companies Getting a large client has its advantages and disadvantages as you mentioned. The key is getting your first one after that you have built a reference. Regarding staffing you have to be upfront with the client about your resources but you should also have other people you can turn towards who can help you out.

Re: Dealing with larger companies Hopefully you have built up some connections with other consultants over the years - they are the first group to turn to when you are having capacity issues. It is obviously a risk because theoretically they could "take" your client but I have found my competitors to be very professional and I have never had a problem.
