buying traffic

Buying traffic doesn't make a lot of sense to me. If my webpage has a lot of general appeal it may amke some sense, but I want traffic that is viewing my page because they are looking for things I have to offer. You can get free traffic from a traffic exchange but most of those veiwing the page are not there to see what you offer, but rather to earn credits to get views on their site. That would keep the web counters busy but maybe not create many sales. I think quality traffic is the goal. In my opinion this means search engines or classified ads. I am scepticle of pay per click advertising because I think there is a possibility of abuse, theoreticaly not from a reputable pay per click source though.

Well, somethings it works. Example like StormClix, you can get about 2000 visitors for a month with about $200 advertising cost.

Anyone that slams buying traffic, just doesn't have money to buy traffic. PPC providers like Google and Overture (now Yahoo owns it) are great for lead generation. Text ad sites like Adbrite and BuyTextAds are also good if you know where the values are.

Through forums you can also find small seo contractors that are probably only 19 or so, but are willing to submit your website to something like 300 - 500 web directories for something like $50 using a simple software that makes the submission process somewhat easy for them.

So buying traffic can definately (1) increase your sites PR and LinkPopularity and (2) get you more traffic and generate you leads.

However, there are way more "Traffic Buying Scams" out there than there are actual values so make sure you research any company you plan on buying a service from a great deal before you buy.

The best way to do this is simply search for the companies name "without the .com" in google. Typcially forum posts about this company or blog posts will show up with peoples thoughts on the company. This way you can find out what the masses think about them and make sure their service provides value.

You could also hire an SEO company (like ours) or others I've seen floating around this forum to both optimize and go about improving your websites rankings in the organic search results. Either way, there are options out there, you just have to look, and BE CAREFUL.

The most valuable traffic is from the natural search results. When the people find your web site in the search engine results.

Re: have anyone heard of buying traffic?

In my personal opinion, The only way I will buy leads is the the ppc and adwords. I have bought leads where you pay them money and they send people to your site, but I really wasn't impressed with the results. Maybe I just got a bad company. Have you ever tried the free advertising like traffic swarm, traffic g, and ts25 are some that will get traffic to your sites. The down side is unless you but credits, you have to surf to get your site seen, but it does work.
