Dell does sell a lot of PCs but they do not sell the majority of PCs. Most people still purchase PCs at places like Circuit City and BestBuy and there isn't a Dell to be seen. Gateway, HP, Compaq (yeah I know it is HP), and eMachines dominate the retail market with their combined sales outstripping any power Dell has.
