Blacklisted

How do you know if you have been blacklisted from google is there a link you can go to on google or do you just see your page ranking diminish?

Re: Blacklisted

Type the following into Google search bar:

site:yourdomain.com (Use your real domain)

If your site is over six months old and nothing appears you may be banned.

If your site is less then six months old and nothing appears then you may be banned or Google may not be aware of you yet. If you haven't submitted a Google SiteMap you should do so right away. Also get some incoming links to point to your website.

If your site does come up, even if it is only one page, then you are not banned.

Re: Blacklisted

I thought there was a site you could go to as well but I guess this works just as well. Just out of curiousity does anyone know how you get off the black list or how to appeal your case?

Re: Blacklisted

Google has a process that you have to go through for a formal appeal. We have not had to do it but if you google it you will find where to go.

Re: Blacklisted

I do not think that Google "blacklist" any site.
They index all web sites. The question is to get in their list and there are several ways:
* submit your web site home page URL to Google
* submit your site map to Google
* create a few links from web sites that are already in the Google's index - use directories, forums, ads

Sometimes it might take a few months before you find you web site by "site:yourdomain.com" so be patient or link in web sites and directories that are often visited by Google.
