Tutoring Franchise

We were looking at a couple of franchises that focused on tutoring and were wondering if anyone has any experience with them? Are they worth the investment?

Re: Tutoring Franchise

If you are looking at companies like Sylvan I have heard good things about them if you are looking at companies that just tutor kids in their home I have heard they do not make much money which makes sense. You can only charge so much and then you have to pay your tutor - I would look at a franchise with multiple revenue streams.

You also have to think of the liability of sending someone over to someones house who you have not met. If I was to get into it I would focus on a very specific market like home schooling.

Re: Tutoring Franchise

Our friends had a tutoring franchise and they did not make any money - the margins are not what you would like.
