I read an interesting story about part time franchises. This one had to do with a christmas decorating business. Apparently, people use a franchise to supplement their normal business which is usually a regular business. I thought it was a good concept - your thoughts?

I think it is a great idea as a way of supplementing your income. The only thing that amazes me is that the franchisors dont care if you have another business. I guess in this example there is only a short term you would be working on the business so it really doesnt matter.

I think it is great for the franchisee but I am not sure it is good for the franchisor - unless you have multiple franchises that do well at different times of the year

I think it is a great idea for both parties providing that the expectations are not that high on either side for a part time seasonal business.
